In 2007 Gerd Seewald said that a "Russian Jew [if brought there as a prisoner by the Pinochet's soldiers] would have welcomed by Colonia as Colonia Dignidad" [a Nazi-related torture camp where from about hundred of prisoners disappeared]. He said CD "is in very good, friendly relations with Jews." (!)

Gerd Seewald died in July 2014 while being indicted for the number of offenses including human rights violations.
